AI compute ownership is the hardest form of power in the AI economy: models change monthly, but accelerator fleets take years and tens of billions of dollars to assemble. This chart ranks every reviewed corporate owner in H100 equivalents, a single scale that makes mixed fleets of different accelerator generations directly comparable, and shows how much of the tracked total the largest holder controls.

Figures are Epoch AI median estimates of owned compute, normalized by peak dense 8-bit operations per second against an NVIDIA H100 baseline, with uncertainty bands preserved on the underlying board. Ownership means the accelerators a company controls, not the capacity it rents out or the utilization it achieves.

Whoever owns the most compute sets the terms for everyone renting it. Concentrated ownership shapes model training roadmaps, cloud pricing, and even national industrial policy. Tracking the top holding over time shows whether the compute base is consolidating further or whether challengers are closing the gap.
