About this metric
Capex guidance is the AI buildout priced in the builders' own words. This chart sums the current forward capital-expenditure guidance of the companies on the board, each figure taken from first-party disclosures such as earnings calls and investor guidance, with ranges and fiscal periods preserved in the evidence trail.
Each company contributes its latest disclosed forward guidance in dollars; where guidance is a range, the published midpoint-consistent value on the board is used. The total moves only when a company raises, lowers, or rolls forward its own numbers, so every change in this line is attributable to a specific disclosure.
Guidance is the most forward-looking hard number in the AI economy: it is next year's data centers, accelerators, and power contracts stated as a budget. Rising combined guidance means the largest builders still see returns at higher spend. The first broad guidance cut will be visible here before it is visible in any completed facility count.
