Private AI valuations move faster than any public market, and the top of the table is where the repricing is most visible. This chart tracks the single highest post-money valuation from a closed round among covered AI companies, with the current holder read live from the board.

Valuations come from Epoch AI records of funding rounds whose status is closed, using the latest positive post-money figure per company with the transaction evidence preserved. Rumored rounds, secondary-market marks, and unclosed raises are excluded, which makes this series slower but strictly verifiable.

The peak private valuation is the market's clearing price for the AI frontier: what sophisticated investors actually paid, not what a headline speculated. When the ceiling ratchets up, capital still believes frontier labs will capture the value they create. A stall here would be the clearest public signal that the private market is repricing risk.
