About this metric
When an AI model answers a buying question with web search, the domains it cites are where the answer's evidence comes from. This chart tracks the single most-cited domain across Rank.ai's public prompt benchmark for model and API questions, and what share of answers cite it at least once.
The share is the percentage of the complete benchmark answer cohort containing at least one validated structured citation to the domain. Citations are parsed from the answers themselves under a published methodology; a domain mentioned without a citation does not count, and coverage is measured against all answers, not only answers with sources.
Models tend to recommend what their retrieved sources support, so the most-cited domains show where a market's answers get their evidence, and where to look first to change what AI says about that market.
