01

The short answer

Scrunch, trusted by 500+ brands and agencies by its own count, splits into two products: AI visibility monitoring with citations and sentiment, and an enterprise Agent Experience Platform that optimizes what AI agents see when they crawl you. Its self-serve Core plan is $250 a month for 125 prompts on four LLMs, one country and one page optimization; Claude, Gemini, Grok, the API, Looker and MCP all wait behind an Enterprise conversation. Rank.ai puts all seven of its engines on every paid plan from $50, tracks Google and the map daily on the same login, and publishes finished articles into your CMS, 10 a month at $0.

Choose Rank.ai when

  • Claude, Gemini and Grok belong on the record without an Enterprise call
  • Google and map rankings should sit beside the AI data
  • Monitoring should end in published pages, with your approval gate
  • You want a $0 plan and public boards to audit first

Choose Scrunch when

  • Serving AI agents an optimized site (AXP) is the requirement
  • Copilot coverage in the base plan matters
  • Site audits of how AI consumes your pages drive your workflow
  • An enterprise contract with a dedicated team fits how you buy

02

What each platform does

Scrunch monitors your brand across AI answers, audits how agents consume your site, tracks AI bot traffic, and at the enterprise level serves agents an optimized experience through AXP. Its output is monitoring, insights and agent-facing optimization.

Rank.ai runs the record-to-publish loop: seven engines asked your buying questions daily with three samples each, every answer stored with brands, sentiment and cited sources, Google and geo-grid map ranks checked daily, and the article pipeline publishing fixes into WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or WordPress.com with your approval.

03

The Enterprise engine wall

On Scrunch’s own comparison table, Core supports ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot, and the nine-model list with Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok appears only under Enterprise. The integrations rows read the same way: Looker Studio, query API and MCP access are all Enterprise features. On Rank.ai, engines are never a tier decision: every question runs on all seven daily, from the $50 plan, and the Looker Studio connector plus CSV export ship on every plan. Copilot, Meta AI and AI Mode are the three we do not track today, and the ledger says so.

04

Google, the map, and the publishing step

Nothing on Scrunch’s pricing page tracks Google positions or the map. Rank.ai checks Google daily on every plan and scans a geo-grid across each service area daily, with GBP audits, citation sweeps and review analysis beside it. On content, Core includes basic generation and one page optimization a month; Rank.ai’s pipeline writes full long-form drafts in your voice, generates images, and publishes into your CMS after you approve, 10 a month at $0 up to 100 on Pro, with the backlink exchange riding on the same publishing.

Frequently asked

What is the core difference between Rank.ai and Scrunch AI?
Scrunch is an AI visibility and agent-experience platform: it monitors how your brand shows up in AI answers, audits how AI agents consume your site, and its enterprise AXP product optimizes what agents see. Rank.ai monitors the answers and then does the work: seven engines recorded daily including Claude and Gemini from the first paid plan, Google and geo-grid map rankings checked daily beside them, and an article pipeline that writes and publishes the missing pages into your CMS with your approval, from $0.
Which engines does Scrunch track on its $250 plan?
Four, per their rendered pricing page: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. The other five, Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, appear only on the Enterprise column. Rank.ai runs every question on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and DeepSeek daily on every paid plan from $50. We do not track Copilot, Meta AI or AI Mode today.
How does pricing compare?
Scrunch's self-serve plan is Core at $250 a month after a 7-day trial: 125 prompts, four LLMs, one country, five competitors, and one page optimization a month, with Looker Studio, API and MCP access all reserved for Enterprise. Rank.ai is $0, $50 and $250: the free plan publishes 10 articles a month and tracks Google daily, $50 adds AI tracking on all seven engines, and $250 raises limits and adds the MCP server. At the same $250, one platform gives you four engines and a page optimization; the other gives you seven engines, unlimited tracked locations, and 100 published articles.
What is AXP, and do you have an equivalent?
AXP is Scrunch's Agent Experience Platform: enterprise tooling that serves AI agents an optimized version of your site. We do not have an equivalent product and do not claim one. The adjacent things Rank.ai ships are AI bot analytics from the Starter plan, so you can see which agents hit your site, and a content pipeline that publishes agent-citable pages. If serving transformed content to agents is your requirement, that is Scrunch Enterprise territory.
Does Scrunch track Google rankings or local SEO?
Nothing on their pricing page shows Google organic position tracking, map tracking or a geo-grid. Their site audits and site maps analyze how AI consumes your pages, which is a different job. Rank.ai checks Google rankings daily on every plan and runs the local suite beside it: daily geo-grid map scans, GBP audits and monitoring, citation sweeps and review analysis.
Does Scrunch write and publish content?
Core includes basic content generation and one page optimization a month; Enterprise raises both to custom levels. Nothing on the page shows publication into a CMS. Rank.ai's pipeline researches, writes long-form in your voice, generates images and publishes into WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or WordPress.com with your approval: 10 articles a month at $0, 30 at $50, 100 at $250.
Can I verify Rank.ai's measurement before paying?
Yes, without an account. The public boards at rank.ai/rankings publish daily recorded answers with sample sizes, evidence ledgers and CSV export. Scrunch offers a 30-second AI audit of your site and a 7-day trial; its measurement lives inside the product. A tracker whose raw output anyone can inspect is easier to trust with your own numbers.
