Peec AI is AI search analytics for marketing teams: visibility, position and sentiment tracked daily, prompt suggestions from search volume, and reporting through CSV, Looker and MCP. They compete only where the categories overlap, and the chapters below walk every dimension a buyer would price: which AI engines each can see, how the tracking actually meters, what each produces on the content side, what surrounds the core product, and the full published tier lists.

AI engine coverage

BrightLocal. BrightLocal's rank tracking covers Google Search, Google Maps and Bing; no AI answer engine appears in any of its tracking surfaces. Its AI Insights feature, which starts on the $40 Manage tier, is a recommendations layer drawn from your local SEO data, a different thing from recording what ChatGPT or Claude answer. Apple Maps appears only in Active Sync listings distribution, never in rank tracking.

Peec AI. Six models are selectable on the paid tiers: ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini, and every tier reads choose three of them. A fourth model is a paid add-on at $30, $70 or $140 a month by tier. Enterprise opens all models and adds Claude Sonnet 4, GPT 5 Search, DeepSeek, Qwen and Mistral via API, up to 11; Grok appears nowhere on the public pages.

Summarized: BrightLocal reads none in rank tracking (AI Insights is a recommendations layer); Peec AI reads 3 of 6 per tier (ChatGPT, AI Mode, AIO, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini); 11 on Enterprise. On Claude specifically, BrightLocal: no; Peec AI: enterprise only.

05

Tracking and measurement mechanics

BrightLocal. The Local Rank Tracker monitors up to 100 keywords and four competitors on the Track tier, and the Local Search Grid scores map-pack position across grids from 3x3 to 15x15. The Track card caps the geo-grid map at five keywords, so grid depth at scale means climbing tiers. Everything is organized per location, which is also how the bill scales.

Peec AI. Every prompt executes once every 24 hours per their FAQ, with visibility, position and sentiment recorded, plus competitive benchmarking and prompt-volume estimation. Projects and countries meter by tier: one project and one country on Starter, five projects and three countries on Advanced.

06

Content production

BrightLocal. Content features stop at scheduling Google Business Profile posts (Manage tier) and publishing customer reviews to your website (Grow tier). There is no long-form writer and no CMS publishing; the pages a local SEO program needs still come from your own writers.

Peec AI. Peec ships strategy recommendations drawn from citation data, for example suggesting a G2 profile or a subreddit the engines cite. There is no article writer and no CMS publishing surface on its public pages; acting on the recommendations stays with your team.

07

SEO and local coverage

BrightLocal. This is the product's home turf: listings sync through Active Sync, citation discovery and duplicate detection through Citation Tracker, manual submission through Citation Builder at $2 to $3.20 per citation, GBP auditing of every profile signal, and review monitoring with response across 80+ sites plus request campaigns over email, SMS and in-store on the Grow tier. White-label reporting is included in the platform comparison chart.

Peec AI. There is no classic-Google organic rank tracking and no local surface: no Maps, no geo-grid, no GBP tooling anywhere on the public pages. The product's entire surface is AI search analytics.

08

Data access, APIs and integrations

BrightLocal. An API is sold as a separate API Solutions product at a custom price behind a contact form, and the platform page lists an MCP Server among its integrations. Reporting is white-label capable on paid plans.

Peec AI. MCP access is checked on every tier, CSV export is a homepage feature, the Looker Studio connector starts on the $495 Advanced tier, and the REST API is Enterprise-only. The homepage promotes connecting Peec to Claude, Cursor and n8n through MCP and API.
