What your credits pay for
Your plan includes credits every month, and tracking spends them. One credit is $0.005, whether it came with your plan or you bought it later.
- 1 credit per Google keyword per day. Each keyword you track gets a rank recorded every day.
- 8 credits each time an AI engine answers a question. A question asked of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini every day uses 24 credits a day, and every engine costs the same.
- Map scans and location audits have their own allowances. Your plan sets how many locations you scan, and location audits draw on 500 audit credits a month for each user.
- Articles are counted separately. Free publishes 3 a month. Starter includes 30, Growth 80 and Agency 300, and each article past those is metered.
Plan credits reset each month. Credits you buy separately cost the same $0.005 each and never expire.

Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account gets the Growth plan for 14 days, up to 10 articles, and no card is asked for. After 14 days the account moves to Free unless you pick a plan, and nothing is deleted.
What is a credit?
Credits pay for tracking, and one credit is $0.005. Your plan includes 500, 5,000, 12,000 or 40,000 a month. A Google keyword uses 1 credit a day. An AI question uses 8 credits each time one engine answers it, so a question asked of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini every day uses 24 credits a day.
Which AI engines are included?
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini answer every question you track, asked every day through each engine's API with web search on. You can switch on Perplexity, Grok or DeepSeek for any question. No engine needs a higher plan, and each answer costs the same 8 credits.
What counts as one article?
One finished, published piece: researched against live search results and the pages already ranking, outlined, written, given a featured image and published to your site. Free publishes 3 a month. Starter includes 30, Growth 80 and Agency 300, shared across its client sites, and each article past those is metered.
How many map scans can I run?
Starter includes map scans for 1 location, Growth for 3 and Agency for 25; Free has none. A scan checks one keyword across a grid of points around the location, so a 5x5 grid uses 25 points and a 7x7 uses 49. Location audits have their own allowance of 500 audit credits a month for each user, and a location audit costs 200 plus 25, 100 or 225 for each keyword, depending on grid density.
How does Local pricing work?
Local adds map scans for more locations than your plan includes: $19 a location a month, 10 locations at least, or $9 a location on Agency. Our team sets it up, so talk to sales to add it.
Is there really a free plan?
Yes, and it stays free. Free is $0 a month and no card is required. Connect WordPress, Webflow or Shopify and Rank.ai publishes 3 articles a month to your site, works on 3 Google keywords checked every day, and gives you 500 credits and every free tool. The connection is the only condition, because the articles need somewhere to go. AI questions to win start on Starter at $49.
Do unused credits roll over?
The credits included with your plan reset each month. Credits you buy separately, at $0.005 each, never expire.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes. Billed yearly, Starter is $39 a month ($468 a year), Growth $99 a month ($1,188) and Agency $319 a month ($3,828). Choose yearly when you pick a plan in the app.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel from the billing page in the app. Your workspace moves to the Free plan and your data stays, so you can pick a plan again later and carry on.
Do you do white label?
Not today; it is on the roadmap. Reports, share links and emails carry the Rank.ai name.
How does done-for-you work?
Done-for-you is $2,000 a month for Core, $5,000 for Scale and $10,000 for Enterprise. We run Rank.ai for you: we pick the questions and keywords to win, track them daily in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Google, write and publish the articles, and report what moved.
