GEO agency

Generative Engine Optimization Agency

An engagement with rank.ai starts with a baseline audit of where AI engines mention and cite you today, then moves to a monthly retainer: daily measurement across nine engines, entity and schema fixes, citation-worthy content published into your CMS, and reporting that shows exactly which answers moved.

WHY RANK.AI

Why rank.ai as your GEO agency

Most agencies bolt GEO onto an SEO practice. We built the measurement platform first and the agency service on top of it.

Platform-backed measurement

We run our own measurement stack: daily sampling of your prompt set across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot, Google AI Overviews, DeepSeek, and Meta AI. Agencies doing manual spot checks are reporting noise; a single AI answer varies between sessions, and only repeated sampling separates a real shift from randomness.

Full-stack execution

Measurement, entity and schema work, research-backed content production, and publishing through WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and Framer integrations, all in one engagement. Diagnosis and execution live in the same place, so findings turn into shipped pages instead of a slide deck.

White-label for agencies who resell

If you run an agency and want to offer GEO to your own clients, the same platform and reporting are available under your brand. See our white-label solutions page for how that works.

What to ask any GEO agency

Including us. The field is new enough that vendors vary wildly, and these four questions expose the difference fast.

How do you measure AI visibility?

The answer should involve a defined prompt set and repeated sampling, with mentions and citations recorded per engine. If the answer is screenshots of a chat session, keep looking. Ask to see the raw data behind a sample report.

Which engines do you cover?

ChatGPT alone is not coverage. Buyers ask Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and increasingly get answers from Google AI Overviews without ever opening a chatbot. Visibility is uneven across engines, so an agency that only checks one cannot tell you where your real gaps are.

How do you separate model noise from real change?

AI answers are stochastic; the same prompt returns different brands on different days. The honest answer involves sampling the same prompts many times and reporting trends built from many observations. If an agency claims a mention appeared because of last week's work, ask how many samples that conclusion rests on.

What does reporting look like?

Ask for a sample report before you sign. It should show per-engine mention and citation rates over time, which of your pages get cited, where competitors get cited instead, and what work shipped in the period. A single visibility score with no citation-level detail hides more than it shows.

Engagement model

Every engagement starts with an audit: a free AI visibility report that baselines where the nine engines mention and cite you today, and where competitors get cited instead. From there, work runs as a monthly retainer scoped by two things: the size of the prompt set we track and the content volume we produce and publish each month. The full breakdown of what a retainer includes lives on our generative engine optimization services page, and current platform tiers are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked.

What does a GEO agency do that an SEO agency does not?
The core difference is the target and the measurement. An SEO agency optimizes for ranked positions in classic search results and measures with rank trackers. A GEO agency optimizes for being mentioned and cited inside AI-generated answers, which requires its own measurement (repeated sampling across engines), its own diagnostics (entity signals, AI crawler access, citation patterns), and content built to be retrieved and cited. The tactics overlap heavily, but an agency without AI answer measurement cannot tell you whether its GEO work is doing anything.
Can my existing SEO agency do GEO?
Sometimes. Much of the underlying work, strong content, clean site structure, and consistent entity signals, is shared with SEO. The gap is usually measurement: without daily sampling across the AI engines, an SEO agency is guessing at whether the work moved AI answers. Some agencies close that gap by reselling a platform like ours white-label; others partner or refer. Ask yours the questions in the checklist above and you will know quickly.
What does a GEO retainer cost?
It depends on scope, and we would rather point you to our pricing page than quote a number that ignores your situation. The two main scope drivers are the size of the prompt set we track (more prompts means more engines-times-queries sampled daily) and the content volume we produce and publish each month. An audit comes first either way, so you know the size of the gap before committing to a retainer.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Agencies use rank.ai two ways: as a GEO delivery partner for client work, or by reselling the platform white-label under their own brand, with their logo on dashboards and reports. See our white-label solutions page for the reseller path.
How do you report progress?
Monthly reports with citation-level detail, on top of a dashboard you can check any day. You see per-engine mention and citation rates for your prompt set over time, which of your pages the engines cite, where competitors get cited instead, and the work that shipped that month. Because the data comes from daily sampling, the trends are statistically meaningful rather than anecdotes.
